In Korea the word “Chingu” means friend and that’s exactly what me and Stepahanie made this past Tuesday. Her name was Rachel, but on that night that we became friends we re-named her Jacee. It was 6: 30pm when Stepahanie reminded me that there was a social gathering in the game room area called “Sushi with Steve”. We spoke earlier about going and figuring out if it was free or not. So I called the front desk to find out and had a delightful conversation with the girl working, making yet another friend. We quickly dressed and headed down and to our surprise Steve was Korean. This mad the sushi making even more comfortable. He told us that the girls in the kitchen were Japanese and the lady named “Kay” was Korean. But when we met Rachel we knew that she had that Korean face and zest about her. We laughed and exchanged words in Korean bringing us closer together. We actually stayed up until 1:01am that day exchanging our life stories-LITERALLY.

The next day we took the newly named Jacee to our favorite spot- Café Mondo while we relaxed and Skyped with my sister Tamica as well as one of our many best friends, Rebeckah. We showed her around the strip then took her to see our friend at La Senza where we continued on laughing and making more HI-LARIOUS jokes.

On our way back home my baby combat boots, which I have had for over a century it’s seems, finally broke while we were crossing the road. Ever since we left the dorm the heel, that was already unglued, was becoming more and more loose. Finally it called it quits and popped right off. We all busted out laughing while standing in the middle of traffic, then quickly resumed crossing. It was truly a sad day because of those who know, those booties were my pride and joy. But there is no sense in crying over spilt milk for I will most defiantly be getting them repaired when I return home.

The funny thing about that whole day was the fact that I knew there was a Korean girl on my floor and I was already destined to make friends with her. In the end fate just brought us together. BUMBER!! (*^.^*)

"Ice Breaker" Party Flyer

Hey Guys, I didn’t really wear anything that chic today. I just kind of took the clean fresh cut road instead. But there is something that I’ve been looking forward to sharing with you for a while. One of the things I’m really into now is collecting BIG rings. They are just so fabulous and simply go with everything you wear. My favorite style of jewelry, whether it be rings or necklaces, however are owls. They are just so cute and appear so wise when you wear them. My other rings are just some that I happen to stumble on whenever I go out shopping or on outings with friends.

One other really cool one besides my lovely owls, is a sliver and black tiger ring – as you can see above. It’s actually in the shape of a tigers head which I thought was so amazing.

So besides my awesome ring collection I have a daily story for you. As I left my Chemistry class today, after talking a really easy quiz, I was looking over my periodic table for one element symbol that I missed- Iron (Fe). While I was looking over my table, I was also on my way to the dorm. I was almost there when suddenly I was immediately stopped by an N-Boo. He managed to hand me a flyer to the freshmen “Ice Breaker” party this Saturday that I was already attending. He said “ I’s got’s something for yooh” as I disgustingly glanced up at him and returned a revolting stare. I finally reached my dorm room, when seconds after Stepahaine entered and told me the same pack of N-Boo’s were giving her really hard look. She ended up walk running for her LIFE! *sigh* what a day (<.<”)

P.S Don't mind my wrinkly hands. ;D

Today was my first actual day of classes that I attended for my set schedule. I know what you’re thinking; why only today, haven’t classes been going on for a while now? Yes, yes they have. But the thing is I have an 8 am class and it’s been a long summer of sleeping in till 12 pm, if you know what I mean. Even though I do live in the dorm and it’s literally 5 seconds away from the school, which leaves me with no excuse of not getting up on time, I just couldn’t make it.

So as for today being my first actual day, its only because I had to wake up at 5:50 to catch the bus from Stepahanie’s house to get to school on time and also study for a math test scare. I know, it sounds like I’m already living on the edge and it’s only my second week of college. Believe me, I’m now buckling down and going to make sure that I get to my classes on time. For a second there I totally forgot that I’m paying for this! (<.< “).

For my first day, I thought I would start off with a bang, since no one has even seen me before. It was also an opportunity to make friends when you’re the attention of the public eye. I’m not going to lie, I definitely didn’t like the attention from the perched N-Boo’s on the corner by the cafeteria, but what can you do, you just can’t have it all. Anyway, I wore a cream lace shirt, which I’ve BEEN trying to find forever, and my high-waisted trousers along with a stone encrusted ring that I got form ALDO. Also, I bought these really cute black wedges that topped the outfit off so well. You guys will definitely be seeing a re-occurrence of those shoes (*^.^*).

This past weekend was the first that I stayed in Windsor since I moved here for school. I was supposed to go home and pick up some stuff that I forgot to bring down with me when I came. Since those plans fell through, I decided to go and explore downtown Windsor later on that night with my cousin Liz. My cousin Stepahanie bunked at my dorm on Friday; so on Saturday afternoon, more like evening, we went to Windsor Crossing to catch the bus.

Upon leaving I noticed that the weather wasn’t too peachy so I dressed a little warmer than I was planning. My outfit ended being filled with warm earthy tones, which was great since the weather felt like fall was here. I wore my taupe cardigan and deep olive green long sweater. I put my sheer grey-brown tights on and a scarf for extra warmth. I added as usual my favorite wooden bangles, which I thought contributed well with the whole earthy theme of the day, and diamond shaped shell necklace. I came together quite nicely for some thing that was so quickly thrown together.

The late night tour of downtown Windsor was a bust; for there were so many people on the street and NO ONE in the club. It actually came to a point where Liz and I were the only ones in the club HAHA, yeah I know. The only fun thing about that night, I have to say was when a random guy came up to us asking about Liz’s older sister Giselle and then pulled us into a high- class cover club, without having to pay, that was filled with moms in pink wigs and five men that didn’t want to dance with them. We were dead. This weekend was actually one to remember.

This past Friday I received my final paycheck from my job, that I miss so dearly, Cineplex. Like anyone would when they get paid, you feel the need to buy something nice for yourself, especially when you see things that are on SALE!! Any lady knows that sale items must be purchased. Across the street, literally across the street, from my school is a place called Windsor Crossing. It’s a place where people come to buy things for cheap; most are from the states since Detroit is really close. Even though American prices are usually cheaper, I think they feel like they’re getting a deal. Who really knows for sure. That Friday was the day that I not only got paid, but my cousins also. With money in the bank, we thought we were all ballin’ and decided to be big spenders, with the knowledge of the consequences we would face later on.

Our first stop was at La Senza. My cousin Stepahanie and I went in planning not to buy anything, but left with nice, wild - cheetah and zebra print- bras and not one, but two sexy panties (<.<). Along with our purchases we made a friend. She laughed with us, made jokes with us and most of all related to our everyday run-ins with the crazy, hoot and hollering people of Windsor. We will definitely be visiting her on the regular.

Next we went to Aldo. What lady can resist shoes? I know you guys know the end result. That’s right, purchases upon purchases of beautiful shoes!!! You will see them later on, so make sure to stay posted!(^.~). After moving from store to store we decided to take a load off at Cafe Mondo, where we got a nice student discount. YESSS =D. I ordered a big, soft chocolate cookie and a caramel ice capp. Step ordered a macadamia nut cookie and a caramel macchiato. mmmmm NOM NOM NOM ( ^0^). With our relaxing snack we kicked back and just took in the moment.

For this outing I wore my vibrant salmon-y, orange cardigan and a floral skirt. I topped it off with a plain white tee. For shoes, I decided to wear my Ked’s to tone down the girly feel, and as usual I used my cross shoulder, black vintage bag.

Die Another Day

Cardigan- GAP, Shirt- Urban Planet, Belt- Urban Planet, Shorts- Joe Fresh, Ring- Charlotte Russe, Bag- Vintage, Shoes-Ralph Lauren

This past Wednesday I went grocery shopping with my cousin Liz Lemon, to get food for my dorm room. Boy were we ever in over our heads. We didn't quite think through the how we were going to carry all the groceries back home, so you can only imagine the struggle we went through to get them back to the dorm. The plan was to buy groceries then go to Value Village and look around for a bit then return back to the dorm. We ended up leaving the supermarket with two heavy bags of groceries, and if you guys know Liz, handling that bag was not gonna be a option. We left the bags in the grocery cart and wheeled all the way to Value Village XD.

When we got there we transferred the bags into a Value Village cart, then transferred them back to the grocery cart when leaving. If you guys aren't DEAD by now then I don't know what to say. We finally ended up pushing the cart all the way to the bus stop, where we waited. After a long, long ride, the bus dropped us in front of the school where it was all - walk , stop, walk, stop- from there on.

We reached the dorm with our back broken and Liz's shoulder dislocated. For this funny journey I wore my darker taupe cardigan, since it's was a little chilly, and a floral, zip back shirt. My Joe Fresh olive shorts went nicely with the floral patten. I added my braided belt and big red Charlotte Russe ring to bring it all together.

Good Things Come to Those Who Wait.

HEY GUYS!!! Okay, so I know I haven't uploaded in a while, but let me tell you what's been up with me. I'm a "College Lady" now!!! It was kinda, okay it WAS, a last minute decision, but I'm here now. My plan was to go to school in January and just work while taking extra classes for one semester, but things just happen without warning you know! So now I'm now attending St. Clair College in Windsor. I know what you're thinking, it's kind of a stretch right? Believe me I know, but I just have to buckle down and take it as a man.

Now that that's out of the way, back to fashion ;D. On my first day out, but not my real first day of class, I decided to wear something dressed down but still a little classy. I bought these two shirts from Joe Fresh, one white and one black, with a bit of flower detail on the top, left side. I liked them because you can wear them casually or with something dressy, which you will probably see me do later on. I wore the black shirt and some high-wasted vintage shorts with a navy blue vintage belt. I wore my taupe vintage loafers for comfort and added big bangle accessories, with an owl ring to top it off. I also wore these really cute vintage earrings that were my moms, but you can probably find them at Urban Outfitters. But that's another story (*^.^*)
