Now I now this has nothing to do with vintage fashion, but I spent this past weekend with my girlfriends and we simply had a blast. I went to my Korean friend Kelly's house, who I haven't seen in so long, to hang out and catch up. She had just switched condos, so I also wanted to go and help her get situated. Her best friend from Korea, Arey, has been staying with her these past weeks and is enjoying her first time Canada. She had heard so much about me and our other friends, so we wanted to do something to make her feel more at home. We decided to go out for a nice dinner. We got dressed up and headed out! Later, we enjoyed some karaoke at Christie Station (Korea Town) where we always have a good time.

Some Like It HOT!

While I was in Atlanta, I was able to attend my first All American BBQ with my best friend Breanne. To ice the sugar on the cake it was on Fourth Of July! What better combination than to be surrounded by good people and good food. It was so fun and the house, or should I say estate, I went to was B E AU T I F U L . They had their own lake which had a bridge and swan paddle boats. It was sooo cute. Also, the scenery was great for picture taking. I figured my high-waisted, vintage shorts and floral-patterned top was best was suited for this happy occasion.

Oh Say Can You See

I had the opportunity of experiencing my first Fourth of July, which is something I only dreamed of before now. Every time I hear people talking about Fourth of July on either on TV or around me, I always wished of going and being apart of it. When I thought of Fourth of July, I thought, big Uncle Sam hat with white, blue and red ribbons everywhere and streamers the whole enchilada =D. But when I attended everyone was normal. Don't get me wrong they were wearing the nations colors and all, but nothing really seemed to stand out.
My friends and I watched the fireworks from on top of a parking lot building, right beside the CNN head office. We changed our seating about a million times to guarantee optimal viewing. Finally we ended up going back to where we started and realizing we should have never left.
The fireworks were AMAZING and to add a little more "umph", they played music and had a live show before the fireworks started. How crazy is that?!! My friend and I were quite mad when they played Ke$ha though, but we got over it pretty quickly after that one song. The finale was super and really went off with a loud, brilliant bang. I wish it never stopped. I really look forward to attending another Fourth of July!

..:FASHION FINDS:..

If there is one thing that is true, it's when big groups of people gather together they definitely put on their Sunday's Best, or in this case their Saturday's Best. While I was in Atlanta I stumbled upon a few people, who in my opinion, brought out the best from their closets. My all time favorite though was this girl, in the beautiful, vintage, mint-floral dress. From head to toe her outfit was highly complemented. It was something I definitely wanted to snap a picture of.
I loved the way she added accessories, like a pink, stain bow and the minty glasses that made her face pop. And what brings an outfit together better than a strappy pair of shoes to compliment your feet. Her vintage shoes were a nice touch to finish off her ensemble. This outfit was super cute and flirty.

GEORGIA on My Mind

Hey guys! So I know I haven't posted in a while, but thats only because I was in *drum roll please* ATLANTA!!!! Ya, I know, fun right?! Well the reason I went so far around the world was because of a conference that is held every 5 years, called GC or General Conference. People from all over the world come and gather together to spread the word of God and share ministry updates.

The weather was absolutely amazing , thank the Lord. The week before we got there, it was sweltering, so I was really glad that it toned down and that there was freezing cold air conditioning in the conference buildings. Hot or not, that didn't stop me from wearing my long trousers and blouse to keep the fashion going.

This was honestly one of the best weekends/road trips of my life; I thank my best friend Breanne for suddenly springing this on me. I couldn't believe that I was in the state where the CNN headquarters is, and my MAIN MAN Anderson Cooper (drool) spends his days and nights. Even though my dream of walking into CNN and looking at his face on the wall, and maybe receiving a free poster that could have been lying around from a desperate secretary awaiting his arrival was crushed, I still have memories of things I saw that I previously could only see through my TV.

Like CASCADE for instance. Yup, thats right, the famous Cascade Roller Rink from the movie ATL. I even saw where Ant "got cutty last night" XD. All in all, it was a great trip and I enjoyed every bit of it. I hope to one day return there and stay a little bit longer. I will continue to post other pictures from my trip so make sure you stay tuned. =D
