Never Have I Ever.........

Do you have a piece of clothing in your closet that you've had for such a long time but never worn? I'm sure many of you know what i'm talking about. You would be getting ready to go out, and then of course stumble across a fabulous piece of clothing. You remember why it's just been sitting there for the past 3 months or so, and all of a sudden want to change your clothes. But then you remember “oohh yeah, I didn't know what to wear with this..”, and just continue getting ready; forgetting about it once more. Well my forgotten piece of clothing was this fur vest. When I first laid eyes on it, I purchased it immediately without thinking what I had to go with it at home – which with me is very rare. I paired it with a pair of green shorts, and it tied them together perfectly. But whenever I figured I would wear it, I would find something cuter to wear. So today I finally just decided to wear it. Theres no time like the preset and no better time than winter.

The Last Day of Fall.

As fall came to an end this year, a little part of me was crushed. This has been one of the most amazing falls I have ever had. This season has brought my love of fashion to a new light. I have concocted a lot of combination's that I ended up loving dearly, and have introduced another type of style other than the staple- Hollister and Abercrombie shirts, LuLu Lemon exercise pants, and BENCH jackets- to the youth of Windsor. One of the remarkable finds fall has brought me to discover, is this rich bright red shoulder padded jacket and rounded feather top hat that I have been searching the ends of the earth to find. This fall I have been looking for something cheetah to add to my wardrobe. Though I already have a cheetah scarf, I found that this particular trend was not going anywhere and I would like something that I could wear in other seasons. On a hunt, I came across a lacey cheetah dress, that a mom just before me was looking at, that happened to have an under slip attached to it. I quickly picked it up and heard the whisper “she’s got good taste” that she exchanged to her daughter about me. Determined to posses only the lacey dress, I took it home and found a way to carefully detach the slip. To my surprise the slip was nice and a perfectly pleasant neutral dress that I could also wear in the fall. This happens to be the dress that I am wearing under my jacket in this picture. Joyous at the fact that I got more for my money, made this find even more pleasurable. Fall you were too good to me and you will be sorely missed. I hope we meet again soon dear friend.

-----I apologize for the quality of these pictures. they were taken form my phone.-----

[FASHION TIP]

Pair a red jacket with strips or a caramel colored shirt/skirt. Bights on top with calm tones or designs on the bottom make for a good statement. Also, find a dress that has to parts to it, and try to make it into more than one style.

This past Friday I received my final paycheck from my job, that I miss so dearly, Cineplex. Like anyone would when they get paid, you feel the need to buy something nice for yourself, especially when you see things that are on SALE!! Any lady knows that sale items must be purchased. Across the street, literally across the street, from my school is a place called Windsor Crossing. It’s a place where people come to buy things for cheap; most are from the states since Detroit is really close. Even though American prices are usually cheaper, I think they feel like they’re getting a deal. Who really knows for sure. That Friday was the day that I not only got paid, but my cousins also. With money in the bank, we thought we were all ballin’ and decided to be big spenders, with the knowledge of the consequences we would face later on.

Our first stop was at La Senza. My cousin Stepahanie and I went in planning not to buy anything, but left with nice, wild - cheetah and zebra print- bras and not one, but two sexy panties (<.<). Along with our purchases we made a friend. She laughed with us, made jokes with us and most of all related to our everyday run-ins with the crazy, hoot and hollering people of Windsor. We will definitely be visiting her on the regular.

Next we went to Aldo. What lady can resist shoes? I know you guys know the end result. That’s right, purchases upon purchases of beautiful shoes!!! You will see them later on, so make sure to stay posted!(^.~). After moving from store to store we decided to take a load off at Cafe Mondo, where we got a nice student discount. YESSS =D. I ordered a big, soft chocolate cookie and a caramel ice capp. Step ordered a macadamia nut cookie and a caramel macchiato. mmmmm NOM NOM NOM ( ^0^). With our relaxing snack we kicked back and just took in the moment.

For this outing I wore my vibrant salmon-y, orange cardigan and a floral skirt. I topped it off with a plain white tee. For shoes, I decided to wear my Ked’s to tone down the girly feel, and as usual I used my cross shoulder, black vintage bag.

While I was in Atlanta, I was able to attend my first All American BBQ with my best friend Breanne. To ice the sugar on the cake it was on Fourth Of July! What better combination than to be surrounded by good people and good food. It was so fun and the house, or should I say estate, I went to was B E AU T I F U L . They had their own lake which had a bridge and swan paddle boats. It was sooo cute. Also, the scenery was great for picture taking. I figured my high-waisted, vintage shorts and floral-patterned top was best was suited for this happy occasion.
