Summer Time Shine

Man these past few days have been soo EVENTFUL!! Today I finally beat my friend Berjae at Dutch Blitz or what we called “Blitzkrieg” and I’m so happy. Stacking is now officially my favorite past time. Other than be extremely hot today, a swim in our well known neighbour Tim’s pool was so needed. I suggest you all go and make friends with a neighbor that has a pool, unless that is you have your own, and then in that case I guess your square. The only bad thing about swimming is, I hate getting my hair wet This unfortunately dose not stop BERJAE and other friends from trying to get me wet or submerge me in the water. If they only knew what I had to go through once I got home, which they do because I tell them every time haha.....*sigh* MAD. I’m just happy that finally our neighbourhood summer plans have fallen into place. I have been rockin this lace top quite a lot this summer already, and it has now fallen into my staple group. I simply love how it feels so free and flowy, if this is word, every time I wear it.

Mint Sorbet

I found this mint vest at Value Village and every time I look at it or put it on, I feel like playing in the park. Then after running around like a kid, the Dickie Dee should come around the corner chiming, and bring me a fudge sickle. The colour of this vest is so YUMMY, and the feeling of it just make me want to yell WHOOPIE!! I really love the look of pastel colours on my skin.

Sex &The City - NO Sex & The Study

One of my dreams, besides becoming a nurse, is to be like Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and The City. Not in the sense of her scandalous rendezvous with guys she hardly knows and automatically falls in love with, but to follow in her shoe purchasing footsteps. Ever since I was little, I’ve always wanted a pair of shoes that that were just so amazing and could go with anything. Of course all you got at that age was a rubber sole shoe from Payless or The Children’s Place, but one could only hope and dream. As I got older little by little my shoe collection grew and just recently made a bit of a splash. On a quick trip to ALDO I stumbled upon a popping salmon heal, which was just the type of shoe I was looking for, along with a thick strap, wooden healed shoe that I also had my eye one for weeks now. As I paraded around the store in the vibrant pair of shoes, another lady walked in and complimented on how nice they looked on me. Minutes before Stephanie Petal told me to buy them before someone else swept them up from right under my nose. Right then and there I knew that if I didn’t buy them, they would never be seen again - in my size that is. I ended up buying both the wooden heal and the bright Sex and The City shoe, which are both fitting into my wardrobe perfectly. Soon I’ll be giving Carrie a run for her money. Next up Jimmy Choo! =D

Today was my first actual day of classes that I attended for my set schedule. I know what you’re thinking; why only today, haven’t classes been going on for a while now? Yes, yes they have. But the thing is I have an 8 am class and it’s been a long summer of sleeping in till 12 pm, if you know what I mean. Even though I do live in the dorm and it’s literally 5 seconds away from the school, which leaves me with no excuse of not getting up on time, I just couldn’t make it.

So as for today being my first actual day, its only because I had to wake up at 5:50 to catch the bus from Stepahanie’s house to get to school on time and also study for a math test scare. I know, it sounds like I’m already living on the edge and it’s only my second week of college. Believe me, I’m now buckling down and going to make sure that I get to my classes on time. For a second there I totally forgot that I’m paying for this! (<.< “).

For my first day, I thought I would start off with a bang, since no one has even seen me before. It was also an opportunity to make friends when you’re the attention of the public eye. I’m not going to lie, I definitely didn’t like the attention from the perched N-Boo’s on the corner by the cafeteria, but what can you do, you just can’t have it all. Anyway, I wore a cream lace shirt, which I’ve BEEN trying to find forever, and my high-waisted trousers along with a stone encrusted ring that I got form ALDO. Also, I bought these really cute black wedges that topped the outfit off so well. You guys will definitely be seeing a re-occurrence of those shoes (*^.^*).

Hot Child in The City

Now I now this has nothing to do with vintage fashion, but I spent this past weekend with my girlfriends and we simply had a blast. I went to my Korean friend Kelly's house, who I haven't seen in so long, to hang out and catch up. She had just switched condos, so I also wanted to go and help her get situated. Her best friend from Korea, Arey, has been staying with her these past weeks and is enjoying her first time Canada. She had heard so much about me and our other friends, so we wanted to do something to make her feel more at home. We decided to go out for a nice dinner. We got dressed up and headed out! Later, we enjoyed some karaoke at Christie Station (Korea Town) where we always have a good time.
