In Korea the word “Chingu” means friend and that’s exactly what me and Stepahanie made this past Tuesday. Her name was Rachel, but on that night that we became friends we re-named her Jacee. It was 6: 30pm when Stepahanie reminded me that there was a social gathering in the game room area called “Sushi with Steve”. We spoke earlier about going and figuring out if it was free or not. So I called the front desk to find out and had a delightful conversation with the girl working, making yet another friend. We quickly dressed and headed down and to our surprise Steve was Korean. This mad the sushi making even more comfortable. He told us that the girls in the kitchen were Japanese and the lady named “Kay” was Korean. But when we met Rachel we knew that she had that Korean face and zest about her. We laughed and exchanged words in Korean bringing us closer together. We actually stayed up until 1:01am that day exchanging our life stories-LITERALLY.
The next day we took the newly named Jacee to our favorite spot- Café Mondo while we relaxed and Skyped with my sister Tamica as well as one of our many best friends, Rebeckah. We showed her around the strip then took her to see our friend at La Senza where we continued on laughing and making more HI-LARIOUS jokes.
On our way back home my baby combat boots, which I have had for over a century it’s seems, finally broke while we were crossing the road. Ever since we left the dorm the heel, that was already unglued, was becoming more and more loose. Finally it called it quits and popped right off. We all busted out laughing while standing in the middle of traffic, then quickly resumed crossing. It was truly a sad day because of those who know, those booties were my pride and joy. But there is no sense in crying over spilt milk for I will most defiantly be getting them repaired when I return home.
The funny thing about that whole day was the fact that I knew there was a Korean girl on my floor and I was already destined to make friends with her. In the end fate just brought us together. BUMBER!! (*^.^*)
so SWEED you SWEEDIES!
